Barthol Chapel

Barthol Chapel is a small rural settlement in the parish of Tarves, situated about 20 miles North West from the city Aberdeen. We are also 10-12 miles from Inverurie and Ellon, 7 miles from Oldmeldrum and approximately 5 miles from the villages of Tarves, Methlick and Fyvie.

Barthol Chapel is the focal point for the surrounding community which includes the hamlets of Tulloford and Earlsford and stretches from the A947 to the B9170. There is an excellent primary school which is also the focal point for social events such as Burns Suppers, Ceilidhs, fundraising events and local shows.

The Church (built in 1875) is well attended with weekly services and now has a Community Café.

The main industry in the area is agriculture but many people commute to Aberdeen and the surrounding towns such as Inverurie, Ellon and Turriff.

The Café

The Café is held in Barthol Chapel Church on the 2nd Saturday of every month from 10.00 - 11.30am.

'See you there!'
