is a small rural village in the parish of Tarves, some four miles south of Methlick and north west of Tarves. It is the focal point for the surrounding community which includes the hamlets of Tulloford and Earlsford and stretches from the A947 to the B9170. There is an excellent primary school which is also the focal point for social events such as Burns Supper, Ceilidhs, fundraising and local shows. The Church (built in 1875) is well attended with weekly services including an active Sunday school. The main industry in the area is agriculture but many people commute to Aberdeen and the surrounding towns such as Inverurie, Ellon and Turriff.
