The congregation of Barthol Chapel church is raising money to carry out necessary repairs, re-roofing and repointing, to make the building wind, watertight, warmer and fit for the future. This repair work is independent of, but a necessary first step for, the proposed BIG project. https://www.bartholchapel.com/the-big-project
As part of this fund raising, the church is holding a Gift Day on Saturday, 23 March. The Church will be open from 10-12am and 2.00-4.00pm on Saturday and tea, coffee and home-bakes will be available throughout.
This will also be an opportunity to find out more about the proposed redevelopment and the exciting future that we see for the Kirk and in Barthol Chapel. And we hope that visitors will bring copies of photographs and stories of the part the Church has played in their family life. These are an important part of the heritage of Barthol Chapel and it would be good to create a collection for display and for future generations. We will also have the baptismal register from 1947 and the register of proclamation of bans from 1930 available should anyone wish to look through them.
For any who cannot attend the day in person but would like to make a donation to the appeal you can do so by cheque or by BACS. For further details of this, please write to firstname.lastname@example.org
